THREE YEAR OLD PROGRAM
The three year old program is designed for children who are 2.9 by September. If there is space available, a child turning 2.9 during the school year will be accepted into the program.

MISSION STATEMENT
The primary goal of the three year old program is to develop the child's social skills and encourage a love of the school setting.

STUDENT / TEACHER RATIO
There is one teacher to six children. An additional teacher or aide is added when the class size goes above size children.

CURRICULUM
We allow plenty of time for free play with a variety of toys at interest centers. We plan a monthly thematic curriculum in order to expose the children to a variety of topics. Oftentimes, the children's interests will determine the themes. To expand the interest centers and monthly themes, activities planned and materials presented are reflected and introduced in the individual areas. Interests centers include: science, art, book area, blocks/trucks, manipulatives/puzzles and dramatic play.

During the first half of the year, children of this age generally play side by side, each focusing on their own activity, By January, we see more social interaction between the children, sharing toys and  electing to play and work together. Weather permitting, outdoor play takes place twice a day. Some outdoor activities include: climbing structures, slides, sand box, bicycles, balls, basketball and soccer.

Daily activities include: dress up, woodworking, art projects, sensory table, block/truck play, stories and music. Our circle time activities include: calendar, weather, daily helper chart, songs, finger plays and puppets. We enable each child to show their creativity and uniqueness while developing pride in their abilities and achievements.
