Curriculum
We allow plenty of time for free play with a variety of toys at different play stations. To expand the play area, the choice of play activities and playmates, free play and play space is shared with children in the Four Year Old Program. This allows siblings and neighborhood friends the opportunity of sharing their preschool experience.
During the first half of the year, children of this age generally play side by side, each focusing on their own activity. By January, we see more social interaction between the children, sharing toys and electing to work together. Weather permitting, outdoor play is a part of our day.
Daily activities include playtime, story time, music and art projects. We enable each child to show their creativity and uniqueness while developing pride in their work.
Outdoor Play
This is a chance for the child to develop social skills, and fine and gross motor skills as well as have fun. Our playground has many areas for succeeding with these skills. There are climbing structures, slides, places to be imaginative, bikes, open space for games and sand to play with when the weather permits.
